Constructing the Bondurant History Center
Currently located in the Bondurant Library, the Bondurant History Center is working on constructing a new space to house our archives, exhibit collections, and welcome visitors. This is a multi-year project that involves fundraising, planning, and lots of volunteer effort to make it a reality!
Oral History Project
Big skies, wide open landscapes, and amazing people define Bondurant. We are actively recording and collecting oral histories from people that have invested themselves in making Bondurant the uniquely wonderful place that it is. Visit our collections to see some of this work and hear from the people of Bondurant.
Digitization Project
Bondurant History holds archives that date back to the early 1900s. Everything from the records of the Crazy Calico Club (now known as the Bondurant Community Club) to ledgers and tally books documenting the daily running of ranches in the Hoback Basin, and artifacts including handmade skis made by the longtime holder of the downhill skiing land speed record! We are actively working on digitizing these collections in order to make them accessible and to tell the story of Bondurant to people far and wide.
